Best Alternatives to Google Adsense 2013

If you are a part of the ever-growing blogging field, then you must be aware from the word Google Adsense. It is the best ad network that comes from the search giant Google, and lets you to display ads on your blog/website. Most of the websites/blogs on the web, use Adsense to earn money, but for obvious reasons, one may not like the Adsense. These obvious reasons are mostly the hard approval into network and ban of accounts due to illegal activity. Though Google just announced that it will no longer ban Adsense account, but still many people search for its alternatives daily, this might be because of not getting approved by Adsense. Well, whatever the reason is, I am here with the list of best Adsense alternatives.

Top Best Google Adsense Alternatives:

Yahoo Bing Ads(Media.NET)-Highly Recommended:

Media.NET partnered with Yahoo and Bing and came up to form a new advertising network. This is the best alternative to Google Adsense from my point of view.I have been using this network since few days and the income is awesome. Infact my income generated from Yahoo Bing Ads is more than Google Adsense which is surprising.
  • Easy approval if you have a good site.
  • If you have many sites, more than 5 then the chance of getting approved are more.
  • You will be guided with a Sales Representative to maximize your income.
  • You wont get banned suddenly for invalid click activity or click bombing.
  • All the options available for premium publishers of Google Adsense are available for all Publishers as Media.NET treats everyone as their premium publisher.
  • Infact its better than Google Adsense if you have a micro-niche site because their ads can be targeted to specific keywords which will show very relevant ads to maximize the income potential of your blog or website.

BuySellAds:

This ad network has grown tremendously in the past some time and that's why shines at the top in this list of Google Adsense alternatives. The concept of this rapidly growing ad network is totally different from Adsense. It can be called as marketplace to sell/buy ad spaces. As a blogger, you are required to apply for BuySellAds account. Once you get approved, you list the ad spaces of your blog at decent rate. Advertisers purchase the ad spaces and you get paid. The best thing is that your earning get fixed in this and there is not any heart attack of getting banned by them. Moreover, you set the ad space price, from your own.
  • Its not that easy to get approved for BSA.
  • Your site must have atleast 50,000 impressions per month.
  • No illegal, or containing even remotely *questionable* content.
  • Minimum payout is $50.

Tribal Fusion:

Tribal Fusion is a CPM based ad network. Its one of the best google adsense alternative but its not that easy to become Tribal Fusion publisher.

Exit Junction:

This is a new network to monetize your website with exit traffic. When a visitor leaves your website it will show a pop-up with and ad.When visitor click on the ad you will get paid. This is a new innovative advertising method.Works well if your site has good traffic.

Adversal:

Adversal is also one of the best google adsense alternative.Basically its a pop up based ad network. You will get paid for every visitor. So it has a great potential to make money if your site has good traffic.

Chitika:

Chitika is well-renowned ad network that competes with Google Adsense. Like Adsense, it also pays when someone clicks on the ads getting display on your blog. The cost per click may not be so good for traffic coming from the parts other than U.S. and U.K. But if you have traffic from these locations, then you can make hell lot money from Chitika. You can refer your friends and can earn the commission. Minimum payout is $10 via PayPal, while $50 via cheque.

Infolinks:

Infolinks is in-text advertising network. Means, when you use Infolinks on your blog, it converts the normal text into clickable ads. The best part about the Infolinks is that getting approved into their network is damn simple and you can start running the in-text ads on your blog, as soon as you apply for it. The cost per click is not that much as you get in Google Adsense, but as the mode of advertising is totally different, so there is always a higher CTR in Infolinks as compared to that of Adsense. Some bloggers even tag this ad network as the best alternative to Google Adsense. While the ad network is very popular, but some SEO experts claim that using the Infolinks may kill your visibility in the search engines as in Infolinks, your normal text, including your targeted keywords gets converted into clickable links. This may make a spam-type image of your blog in Google's eyes. The Minimum payout is $50 via PayPal, while $300 via Bank Wire Transfer.

Kontera:

Kontera is also in-text advertising network that converts the normal text into ads. When someone clicks on them, you get paid. Your blog must have good page impressions to get approved into the system. It does compete strongly with both of Google Adsense and Infolinks. You can withdraw the money, once it touches $50 mark.

Adbrite:

Adbrite has always been considered as one of the best Adsense alternatives. Once you get approved into system, Adbrite puts a banner on your blog, showing the sale of that particular ad slot. Getting approved into the network is very easy, but your success in Adbrite solely depends on your blog's popularity. If it s quite popular, then advertisers contact you to buy ad space. The price for the ad space is set up by you. When any advertiser shows his/her interest in displaying ads on your blog, it is completely up to you that you want to accept the ads or not. You can sell the ad space on weekly, monthly basis. The minimum payout is $100 via PayPal.

Clicksor:

They approve any blog, if it is totally new. Clicksor offers all type of advertising like In-Text, Contextual. The pop-up ads are also part of Clicksor. Though this ad network is good challenge to Google's Adsense, but sometimes it shows irrelevant ads, mostly the adult ads. You can withdraw your earned money to your PayPal account, once it touches $50 count.

Bidvertiser:

This ad network offers contextual and feed advertisements. Though you earn good money for each click that you get on your ad, the extra amount is paid to you, if your ad results in a successful conversation. The minimum payout is $10, and one can get this money in one's PayPal account.

How to Clear Cookies on Internet Explorer,Mozilla Firefox,Google Chrome

We spring clean our homes every once in a while to keep it free of clutter. It provides us a cleaner environment to live in. Somewhat similar to spring-cleaning your house is cookie cleaning the browsers that you use on your computer.
For the internet dummy, here’s what an Internet Cookie is: Whenever you browse a particular site, a “cookie” (or a file referencing that site, gets stored on the hard-disk of your computer. The next time you visit that site, say an online poker site for example, the browser sees that cookie and loads that website faster. You would think that this is a great function and very useful too. However, over a period of time, you surf numerous websites and web pages. The result of this is that literally cartloads of cookies get stored on your computer resulting in a slowdown.
Thus it is important to clear out the cookies along with the internet history and the cache. Different people use different browsers to access the internet on their computers. Outlined below are the steps and screen-shots of how to delete cookies on different browsers:

Steps to Clear Cookies on Internet Explorer 9:

  • Open browser>click the gear at the top right to access “settings” >Select “Safety”>Delete Browsing History.
  • Alternatively, press Ctrl+Shift+Delete to open the Delete Browsing History window.
  • Select “Temporary Internet Files”>uncheck all other boxes, in particular the “Preserve Favorites website data” (checking this option will delete objects from the websites that are in your Favorites folder. This is required to clear your cache completely).
  • Click the ”Delete” button at the bottom of the window.
The computer will work the request for a moment and complete the action.

Steps to Clear Cookies on Mozilla Firefox:

This browser has different steps for clearing cookies from a single site and for deleting all cookies:

Deleting cookies for a single site:

  • Click on the “Firefox” button at the top of the Firefox window( Tools menu in Windows Explorer)>Options>Privacy>Firefox Will dropdown menu>Use custom setting for history
  • Click “Show Cookies
  • The cookies window will appear >Type the name of the site whose cookies have to be deleted(a list of cookies will show up)
  • Select the cookie that needs to be Deleted >Click on “Remove Cookie
  • To select all the cookies Shift +End.

Deleting all cookies:

  • Click on the “Firefox” button at the top of the Firefox window( Tools menu in Windows Explorer)>Go to the “History” menu>select “Clear recent history”>Set the time range to clear all>click on arrow near details(expand history list)>Select “cookies” (deselect other boxes).
  • Click “Clear Now”>Close Recent History window.

Steps to Delete Cookies on Google Chrome:

  • Open Browser>Select the “Wrench” (settings menu located at top right corner) icon>Tools>clear browsing data.
  • Alternatively you can also access the “Delete Browsing History” window by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Delete or click on [chrome://settings/clearBrowserData]
  • Select “Empty the Cache” checkbox>Uncheck all other options
  • In the “Obliterate the following items from” dropdown box select>Beginning of time>Click the “Clear browsing data” button.
  • Chrome will process your request for a moment and the action will be completed.

Final Words:

Sometimes maintaining the Internet history on your browser can be helpful in that you are able to view the actual terms that were used to access a particular site. There are lot of Browser versions and the ones listed here are the latest. You can find information related to deleting cookies on specific browser websites in the “help” section. Remember that your computer is a machine and needs to be cleaned regularly to ensure optimum performance. Happy surfing!

How to Increase Mozilla Firefox Browsing and Startup Speed

  • Are you experiencing slow speed and lagging web experience from your favourite browser- Mozilla Firefox? This generally happens after using Firefox over time.
  • Restarting browser doesn’t help and neither restarting the computer. So how can you improve and refurbish Firefox’s declining speed and efficiency?
Well, over the due course of this article we’ll be discussing on the topic how to speed up your Mozilla Firefox? We’ve gathered some tricks and tweaks that will put your Firefox again into efficient and balanced position. And we believe, if you’ll carefully follow this guide and apply all the methods together, you’ll experience a 100% of speed increase, be it a web browsing experience, Firefox start up time or browsing speed.

Tweaks to Speed Up Mozilla Firefox Browsing:

Configuring settings in Firefox’s “about:config” option:

1) You can increase the speed by Reducing RAM required by Firefox for its Cache Management.
Follow the steps:
  • Open Firefox browser and type “about:config” (without quotes) in the address bar.
  • In the search field, look for: “browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewer” and change its value to “0”.
2) By default at a time, Firefox makes only one request while opening a web page for you but by increasing and allowing Firefox to make several requests at a time, we can increase the page loading speed and this can be achieved by enable pipelining.
  1. Open Firefox browser and type “about:config” (without quotes) in the address bar.
  2. In the search field:
Find:  “network.http.pipelining” & change to “true” by double clicking on it.
Find: “network.http.proxy.pipelining” and change it to “true”.
Find:  “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” and change it to 10.

Now browser will make 10 requests at once.

3) This trick involves in changing the amount of time assigned to browser it uses to act on received information and it works effectively if you’re using a broad band connection.
  1. Open Firefox browser and type “about:config” (without quotes) in the address bar.
  2. Right Click anywhere in empty portion and click New> Integer. Name the new Integer as:  “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and assign it a   “0” value.
  3. Similarly you can create the  following values to increase speed of Firefox:
Create a new Boolean: “network.dns.disableIPv6” and set value to “false”.
Create a new Integer: “content.notify.backoffcount” and set the value to 5.
Create a new Boolean:  “plugin.expose_full_path” and set the value to “true”.
Create a new Integer:  “ui.submenuDelay” and set the value to 0.
4) Finally the last method with which you can reduce the RAM usage of Firefox when it is minimized to taskbar. This little hack will help you to free up some RAM for your system when you’re not browsing.
  1. Open Firefox browser and type “about:config” (without quotes) in the address bar.
  2. Right Click anywhere in empty portion and click New> Boolean. Name the new Boolean in the pop up as:  “config.trim_on_minimize” and assign it “true” value.
  3. Restart the Firefox.

Using Firefox extension- FasterFox:

There’s another way to increase the browsing or Internet speed in Firefox with the help of an extension/add-on for Firefox called FasterFox. It works pretty cool for me and I was able to notice some significant improvement in browsing speed. However, it won’t work well on my old computer with basic configuration.  So I won’t recommend it to users with low-configuration systems.
How FasterFox works?
  • FasterFox recycles all the useless or ideal bandwidth and utilizes it to load web pages much faster.
Download Fasterfox Here.

Basic ways to speed up Firefox:

Remove Unwanted Addons and Pugins:

  • To decrease the start-up Firefox loading time, remove unwanted add-ons or extensions.
  • All add-ons lower the start-up loading times by fraction of seconds, therefore more the add-ons higher will be start-up loading time.
  • The add-ons or extensions that used Internet connection can lower the browsing speed, so we’ll suggest you to avoid those add-ons that use Internet connection.
Disable Unwanted Addons,Plugins and Extensions.

Clear Cookies from Time to Time:

  • Cookies, cache, history and other temporary files are also responsible for Firefox’s declining speed and efficiency. We’ll suggest them to remove all these files 2-3 times a month.

You can remove these files by going to: options>Security. Choose “clear your recent history” to wipe history and “Remove cookies” option to remove cookies. Also delete the unnecessary bookmarks.
  • There’s another small effective trick to decrease the start-up Firefox loading time. Right click on the Firefox icon and choose properties.
  • Select the target field and in the end of url “C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe”, give a space and type “/Prefetch:1” (without quotes). Remember to put space as without specifying space this trick will not work.
All the above mentioned tweaks and tricks are fairly easy to apply. We believe these tricks will make your favourite browser at least 2-3 times much faster. Although some tricks may not work for you as some of them depends upon the configuration of your system and some upon Internet connection. Anyway, if you have any interesting working trick to speed up the Firefox, do share it with us through comments.

How to Increase Google Adsense Revenue

When coming to advertising solution Google Adsense comes first in the mind of every blogger. They are the highest paying network currently regardless of the niche of Blog.In this article I will be discussing few best Adsense placements and best performing Ad units  from my experience to maximise Google Adsense Revenue.
Increase Google Adsense Revenue

Tips to Maximize Google Adsense Revenue:

Your Adsense income is primarily dependent on following factors.
  1. Traffic.
  2. Cost Per Click(CPC)
  3. Click Thorough Rate(CTR).
Here we will be discussing ways to improve all the above mentioned factors so that your Adsense Income will also boost up.

Best Performing Ad Units:

When coming to Ad units size bigger is better.Larger ad units perform well compared to small ad units.
Some of the best performing ad units are 300*250,336*280,300*600,160*600.

Recently 300*600 (Half Page Ad)  was available only for Premium Adsense Publishers but now Google Adsense went ahead and made this available for all to maximise revenue.

Best Ads Placement:

Proper Ads placement is the key factor for generating high CTR.The best Ads placement from my experience are.
Best Ads Placement
Top of Posts below Title:
  • This is the most preferred place to get maximum number of clicks.
  • Ad units like 300*250,336*280,468*60 and 728*90 would work like charm in this position.
Just after ending the Post:
  • From my experience this is the best place to get high CTR.
  • Place a ad unit just below the post left inclined.
  • Here is strongly suggest you to use 336*280 Ad Unit.
In Between the Posts:
  • If you are writing a lengthy posts then place text link ads or banner ads in between the posts.
  • Though placing ads manually may trouble you but can generate good CTR.

Use Maximum Number of Ad Units:

To earn more revenue from Adsense you must be using maximum number of ad units per page.Google Adsense allows only 3 Banner Ads and 3 Text Link Ads per page which is very much sufficient.
Note:Premium Adsense publishers can use upto 6 Banner Ads per page.Another way to show more than 3 ads per page is via Google Double Click.
Few Important Aspects to consider:
  • I read at many places saying that reducing the number of Ad Units can increase the CPC.But it didn't prove right from my experience. Adsense CPC is completely dependent on the source of traffic and the country location. So to generate maximum income take advantage of maximum number of Ad Units.
  • Do not place too many ads which will effect loading time and may annoy the visitors.

Include High CPC Keywords in your Articles:

Google displays ads relevant to the keywords in the article. If you include few keywords like Buy Laptops,Buy Antivirus then generally high cpc ads will be displayed.

Target US/Canada Traffic:

US,UK,Canada visitors CPC is very high.So if you can write articles targeting these nations then you can earn handsome amount from not only Google Adsense but also many other Advertising Networks.

Do not Place Ads Side By Side:

Avoid placing ads side by side especially on top and bottom of the posts.

Use Text Link Ads Below Menubar:

Text Link ads below menu bar perform well as they resemble categories of a blog.
