How to Install Windows 8 on Virtual Box

Windows 8 version performance is very good when compared to its predecessors.If you have not yet downloaded windows 8 then download it for free now from below link.

There are many ways to install windows 8 as follows:

1. Installing Windows 8 alongside windows 7(Dual Boot).
2. Installing Windows 8 on virtual box.
3. Overwriting the current OS with windows 8.

In this article we will see how to install Windows 8 in a Virtual Box, step by step.We will be discussing the other methods in further articles.

Pre-Requisites:

1. The version I've chosen for the test is Windows 8 Release Preview ISO 32-bit (x86) English.
2. You can also use other versions as well like Consumer Preview,Developers Preview or even the Professional(Windows 8 PRO) version itself.
3. VirtualBox (4.1.8) is the latest version which brings a default configuration for Windows 8 .
4. I assumed the default setting and I only assigned a size of RAM 3GB (out of 12 in the team) and the memory for the virtual graphics card I have placed at the maximum (128 MB). This does not mean it is the best option,which partly depends on the machine but that is how the installation has been done to provide screenshots for illustration.You can also alter the above settings based on your need and configuration.

Installing Windows 8 via Virtual Box:

To avoid problems when you restart the system, the virtual hard disk is the first boot order and image ISO the second.Insert the ISO disk and get started.
1. The first thing you see is a screen that differs from those seen before in other versions of Windows.It appears with a blue screen with stylish LOGO.
2. In the next screen you have to choose Language and Keyboard layout.I hope most of you go with the default settings itself.

3. After the selection, click "Next" and got to the point where you start the actual installation.

4.In the next page you have to provide a product key to proceed the installation.Windows 8 product key differs for various versions of windows as follows.

Windows 8 Professional Edition Key : XKY4K-2NRWR-8F6P2-448RF-CRYQH  Windows 8 Release Preview Key: TK8TP-9JN6P-7X7WW-RFFTV-B7QPF    Windows 8 Consumer Preview Key: DNJXJ-7XBW8-2378T-X22TX-BKG7J  Windows Server 8 Developers Version Key: 4Y8N3-H7MMW-C76VJ-YD3XV-MBDKV

5.Accept the license agreement and passed the point where we have to make the first decision.
This is very important if you install on a computer that already has an operating system installed, because we will designate partitions.

• Here I recommend you to choose Custom Installation.

6. In our facility we have nothing to decide and allocate entire virtual disk (20 GB in the default installation).

7. Now we face the slowest part of the installation, copying files from the image ISO , file decompression, installation of operating system features and updates if any.

7. When processing completes, the system restarts automatically after a few seconds, you can control short pressing "Restart now".
8. The system is already installed and after a restart and a succession of black screens with several warnings (Preparing, Getting ready devices, Getting ready system ) and the machine will be restarted again.
9.Next a personalize screen comes out.Here you can choose the theme colour ,PC name.

10. After completing the above process, see the settings screen. We have two options: Express configuration and custom. I selected the first on the characteristics of this test.

11. In the next step we have to decide if we want to associate our facility to a Windows ID or not. In the first case, the partnership will allow us to conveniently download apps from Windows Store, access files and photos from anywhere and sync preferences from any computer. The option chosen has been associated with my Windows installation ID.
12. After a while, we can enter the key to that later we can connect with other Microsoft services automatically (Messenger, Hotmail, Xbox Live and Windows Live Services).

If you are using Release Preview version then use this key:MBFBV-W3DP2-2MVKN-PJCQD-KKTF7 

13. Now we will go through three more black screens while syncing with our own and once the process of adjustments, we will be in the Welcome screen .
14. We have successfully finished Windows 8 Installation.The next time you boot the system, if we have an image associated with your account will appear on the Welcome screen.

I already wrote a complete article on How To Recover From Google Panda Effect,this article is a part of same series to explain "What is low quality content?".After a series of Google Panda Updates,now everyone is aware of the importance of high quality content.Previously webmasters used to think more the number of pages gets indexed in Google then more is the traffic but now things have changed.Even few low quality articles can lead to penalty like "One single apple spoiling the whole bunch".

Always Remember:"Quality is more important than Quantity"

How to Identify Low Quality Content?

There is a big question in every webmaster mind "What low quality/thin content actually means?".

Well if you are here with the same question then I am going to clear your doubt in this article.

1.Content with Very Few Words:

Even though most of them feel that the number of words of article doesn't matter it is wise to maintain a 500 words article.Sometimes you may not prolong a article to 500 words in such cases keep the article short and concise but get more comments on your post.All the words in the comments will be treated as content of the article.Accept only those comments which adds value to your blog.Spammy comments can harm the blog very badly.

So if you write a article with 200 words and get few comments which comprise of 300 words then 200+300=500.This will be the word count of the article which is a decent length.

2.Outdated Articles:

Sometimes we may write articles related to Technology updates.These articles related to updates may boost your traffic instantly but once when the update is outdated the article will remain as a scrap in your blog or website.You have to identify such articles and remove them immediately.

3.Articles with no Traffic at all:

There will be many articles on your website which don't get traffic at all or gets traffic very barely thereby adding no value to your website.Such articles should either be rewritten ,interlinked from the posts for which you get good traffic or must be removed.

4.Duplicate Titles

Duplicate Titles and Meta Descriptions must be avoided at any cost.Quite often an information may be outdated and you may come up with a new information on the same title.In such cases you should follow either of following cases.

• Re-write the previous article with latest information(I don't recommend this because Google takes some time to re crawl an already crawled content and modify it in search results thereby you loose alot of traffic for a period of time).
• Remove the previous article then write a new article.After that redirect the previous article url to the new article[Highly Recommended].
• Write the new article with different keywords.

For example if you already wrote a article on "Google Panda Update 20" and this time you are writing a article on "Google Panda Update 21" then change the title and write it as "Google Rolled Out a New Panda Update 21" to show a diversification between the both titles. 

5. Duplicate Meta Descriptions:

This is also same as the above explained scenario.To find out if your site has Duplicate Meta Description follow the below steps.

• Go to Google Webmaster Tool.
• Choose Optimization on the left coloumn.
• Then Go to Html Improvements.

• There you can find the number of duplicate Meta Descriptions on your website.

6.Achieve Pages:

Sometimes Google indexed the achieve pages of a blog/website thereby creating low quality content without your notice.To check the indexed pages in Google,go to google.com then type site:yoursite.com(Replace yoursite.com with your website address).

1.No-Index those pages:

You can no-index such pages.If you no-index then google will stop crawling such pages.Pages to be no-indexed are

• Achieve Links.
• Comment Links.
• Unwanted Labels.

2.Blocking unwanted urls with Robots.Txt:

You can also block such unwanted urls from further indexing using robots.txt file.The following is an example of ideal robots.txt file.

3.Remove Manually:

If you want to remove specific url from google then its better to remove it manually.It will be removed from search results quickly.

Step To Manually Remove Url Using Google Webmaster Tool:

1.Go to Google Webmaster Tool.

2.Open the site for which you have to operate.

3.Then click on Optimization on the Left side column.

4.In optimization choose Remove URL'S.

5.Then copy the link of url which you want to remove and paste it.

I started using Facebook and joined few groups on Facebook which are related to Technology.Then I took active part in discussion on forums and groups.People liked the way I used to answer questions and guide them to get solutions to their problems.Then the idea of Blogging implanted in my brain.So that I can guide people and make money as well.This is how I started Blogging.

On What Topic/Content should you Blog?

When you are going to start a blog the first thing that comes to mind is the topic/niche you blog on.Always go with your passion.

For example I am a Technology lover and good in computers,Internet stuff so I started a Blog on Technology.Few people are good at designing then start a blog on Designing.

Always stick to what you like.Few niches will be more profitable but do the thing which you like.If you blog on the niche which you are not aware of then there is no point in Blogging on such niche.

What kind of Blogs Make Money? 

I always mention in my posts that Content is the King.If you have good content then you will get quality readers.If you have quality readers then obviously your blog will make money.

Most of the people build blogs on Pirated Softwares,Hacking/Cracking content.Such blogs will get good amount of traffic but I should say that its useless.Even I started my blogging with such content but removed such articles later realising my mistake.We don't have right to spoil others hard work.So please, I request not to blog on such content.Such kind of blogs wont make good amount of money as others do.

How Can you Earn from Your Blog?

Once your blog is ready with good quality content then it will naturally get good amount of traffic.If you have good quality traffic.Now again stressing the word good quality traffic.Always more traffic= more money equation is not true,I will come to this point later in the post.If your blog is ready with good quality and fresh content then there are many advertising networks to advertise on your blog.The primary thing that comes to mind when thinking of Advertising networks is Google Adsense.But if you have a blog with good quality traffic then Adsense wont be the primary source of Income for you.There are many other ways to make good amount of money from your blog even without Adsense.

Though Adsense is your primary source of income I always suggest you to keep few alternatives that suits best for your niche.Always keep few eggs in your basket because we don't know when Google bans you from Adsense.Myself got banned from Adsense twice.So now I keep adsense as one of the sources of income of my blog but not the primary source of income.So I am not bothered even I get banned from Adsense network.

Few alternative to Adsense are Affiliate Marketting,Sponsored Reviews,Infolinks ,Tribal Fusion etc.

All depends on the amount of Hard work you put.Generally if you work smartly then your blog should start making money within 3 months.But mostly its wise to wait till 6 months and start applying for different Ad Networks.Dont be in a hurry to make money.Be calm,quiet and most importantly be patient.So that it will gain a good Page Rank and Alexa rank as well.These two factors are the measure of how popular your blog is.

If you didn't make good amount of money for a long period of time then don't panic.Learn from your mistakes and apply a different strategy.As I already said Patience is the key for success.

The Formula More Traffic=More Money is not always True:

Yes you are right most of the people think that if you get more traffic then you will earn more money from your blog which is not always true.We need quality traffic which actually turns into leads.If you are running a affiliate marketting model on your blog to earn money then your traffic should actually turn into sales to bring income for you.

Few niches like Blogging,Health wont have a good amount of traffic but still can make more money than a Pictures,Jokes blog which has 100 times more traffic than those blogs.So as I always say Quality is imporatant not Qantity.
